DIRT CODE 1 through 10

1 Having just had the house professionally cleaned and no children and no pets and minimalist décor, lots of open space, very little decor such as pictures and Knick knacks.

2 Having just had the house professionally cleaned within a week and either 1 older child and up to 1 pet and minimalist décor, lots of open space, very little decor such as pictures and Knick knacks (25% or less coverage). Or no pets or children and clean the house themselves thoroughly weekly with minimal décor/furnishings.

3. Having just had the house professionally cleaned or they clean it themselves very thoroughly weekly and up to 1 older child and up to one pet, average amount of décor, with surfaces such as shelving, tabletops, counters with 50% of space occupied by décor

4. Having had the house professionally cleaned within 3 weeks or they regularly clean the whole house themselves at least every 3 weeks and up to 1 older child and up to 1 pet, average décor, pictures, and Knick knacks with 50% open space.

5. Thorough monthly housecleaning by themselves or professional, older children (12 and above) and up to 2 non-shedding pets, average décor with 50% open space on surfaces.

6. Cleaning by themselves mostly the public areas (they usually skip cleaning the showers/tubs, skip washing floors). Non-shedding pets, or 1 shedder. Children are older than 8 and surfaces with 50% coverage of décor. Lot of furnishings and a few things lying around.

7. Cleaning by themselves mostly the public areas (they usually skip cleaning the showers/tubs, skip washing floors). Surfaces 75% covered, many pictures, up to 2 shedding pets or 2 children and 1 shedding pet or 3 children and no pets. Items sitting around on the floor that do not get put away.

8. Cleaning by themselves mostly the public areas (they usually skip cleaning the showers/tubs, skip washing floors, kitchen cleaned only from cooking messes, spattered surfaces, areas behind and under rarely cleaned). Surfaces 85% covered with objects, many pictures, 2 or more shedding pets or 2 or more younger children and 1 shedding pet. Things sitting around on the floor that do not get put away.

9. Cleaning hasn’t been the priority, build up on most surfaces, scattered messes, furniture tops 85% covered with objects (not all is décor), young children and pets have left fingerprints, smudges, spills down fronts of cabinets, a lot of dust, water areas with a lot of limescale.

10. All surfaces need work, cleaning has rarely occurred, scattered messes, furniture tops 95% or more covered with objects (not all is décor), young children and pets have left fingerprints, smudges, spills down fronts of cabinets, a lot of dust, water areas with a lot of limescale.

Buildup and dirty on 90% of surfaces, a lot of clutter that has nowhere to go. A lot of wrappers, drink cans, trash things that haven’t been picked up.

11. We do not clean these:

They need a professional that specializes.

There will be any one of these we will not clean and refuse the job.

1. Rodent infestation. If we see evidence (fecal) we will not clean. Hanta virus can be deadly 2. Insect infestation if we see dead or alive German cockroaches or fleas 3. Bodily fluids whether human or animal that are not inside a toilet

4. If we feel a threat of any kind, we will not clean. This may be an unsafe area like a stairway without a railing, a structure that appears unsafe, visible guns, visible signs of drug paraphernalia, a person making unwanted advances, people arguing or fighting or disrespectful to name a few.
