FAQ’s 1st time TTB or Move In/ Out Cleanings

Purpose of document 

To set clear guidelines on questions to ask to gain more information on 1st time TTB or Move In/ Out cleanings to make them successful.

Is the home empty?

  • If the home is empty ask if they need a full move in/out cleaning or do they just want a general cleaning, use the master checklists to explain the differences)

Will we have access to water and power? 

  • If we do not have access to water, we will be able to clean but we will not be able to clean toilets and possibly not the refrigerator, set a realistic expectation.
  • If their is no power, we will not be able to clean the home.

Have you seen any trace of bugs or an infestation? 

  • If they have bugs or an infestation, they will need to get an exterminator out prior to us cleaning the home.

Will there be any other workers/ vendors in the home?

  • In most cases, we can not work in a home with vendors or other workers, the exception is if they are only in one room/area and we will need to skip the room/area that they are working in.

Is there any animal waste in the home?

  • We can still clean the home, however, we do not clean any types of animal or human waste.

Is the home a TTB (add on) and they want the refrigerator cleaned:

  • The refrigerator can not be over stuffed, meaning their is no visibility on the shelves, we will need the refrigerator to be fairly cleaned out of old food or excessive food to clean.

Will we move furniture to get to baseboards?

  • We do not move furniture to get to baseboards.

Will we clean high ceiling fans or fixtures?

  • We do not clean anything that we can not reach on a 2 step ladder.

If the home is a move in/ out cleaning:

If they still have furniture or items in the cabinet:

  • We will clean around furniture, we do not move furniture to clean under or behind it.
  • We will skip any cabinets that have items in them, we do not remove items to clean.

If they have items in the refrigerator:

  • If more than a handful of items are in the refrigerator, we will skip cleaning out the refrigerator.
